I would switch from monk robe bottoms to d'hide chaps whenever I didn't need to pray.. gear was sub-par, no boots/shield (wouldn't consider anti-dragon shield as one). I'm 100% sure there's a x10 better setup, I just threw some gear together and bought supplies in a spur of the moment thing - since I got bored of Slayer.
