Deadman Season 2: Day one strategy

Hey guys. I know I'm not in the clan yet, but I'd still like to add to the deadman discussion and talk a little bit about what is the best way to start off on day 1 of season 2. So for the past couple of days I've been working on my strategy on how I will try to get ahead of the pack on the first day of season 2. This strategy is centered around both finishing key quests early, such as monkey madness, and rushing for iban blast. As many of you know, Iban blast is devastating at the early stages of the game since it can hit 20+ at a low mage level. What I would like to do is get some feedback on this strategy, to refine it and get together a group to complete this together to solidify AC as the strongest deadman clan on day 1.

Here is what I have thought out step by step. Please notify me of any missteps.

1. So first things first is to immediately fix your Player Attack Option to Always right-click. In the very beginning we will be spending a lot of time in safe-zone, so it's very important to not accidentally skull and have to wait 30 minutes until you can enter a safe zone again. Do this before talking to skippy to avoid forgetting. Also lets protect some stats that will be trained very soon. Attack or Str, Mage, Agility, Thieving, and Cooking or Fishing.

2. Talk to skippy and start off at the Tree Gnome Stronghold. The reason we are starting here is to go ahead and get 10 agility so we don't have to travel back. We have to get a decent agility level anyways for underground pass, so it's best to be efficient and start now.

3. Now lets leave the stronghold and head to south to east ardounge. Might as well help the gnome Femi at the entrance of the stronghold, is it will be needed for The Grand Tree later. Now we will want to start the thieving grind. There are lot's of reasons to start out with thieving. First of all we need to get to 53 anyways to do desert treasure. Second, its one of the few skills that generates GP early in the game. Other skills are going to be a little hard to generate cash from so early in the game since nobody will have a lot of GP. To start off we are going to find the woman upstairs In house and pickpocket her until 5 thieving

4. Now we are going to head out but first pick up the Ardrougne Achievement diaries. We will be doing the Easy diaries for a few reasons. It's really easy to fit into this guide, and having unlimited teleports is super good with the new teleport update, as well as a free teleport to an altar; also, getting the cape before doing underground pass is really useful because it's likely at such a low level to need to bank often during the quest.

5. Head south of the two pints to the ardy-wilderness lever to tele out and back. 1/10 easy ardy tasks finished

6. Run to the ardy stalls, on the way there Drain your prayer and pray at the altar north of the general store, and run south to check your insured pets(the puppy icon on the mini-map. 3/10 easy ardy diaries.

7. Now we are going to want to thieve cakes. 4/10 easy ardy diaries (Try to trade some cakes or something for 2 earth runes from another player, this will be needed for waterfall quest. The starter pack fresh off of tutorial island only gives you 4 earth runes, so every new player will have some) (Edit: Goblins actually drop earth runes, so kill them for them instead if you can't get anybody selling earth runes) until 25 thieving. Steal 3 silk and set it in your bank(we will need it later). Pickpocket warrior women until 400ishgp, then take the ship at ardy docks.

Here we will but two rope three buckets, and buckets of slime off the charter members. These will be used for quests.

8. Now with a rope, 6 earth runes, 6 water runes, 6 air runes, and an inventory of cake we are going to complete waterfall quest. When you get to the part where you go through the gnome village, after getting the pebble start the tree gnome stronghold to get escorted out. Before starting the quest, train your HP level to 14 to avoid getting 1 hit by moss giants, this can easily be done by training on either the cow pin north of east ardy, or the goblin cave next to the fishing guild. This is a great quest to do early for some ez levels, and its a prerequisite for desert treasure.

9. Now lets head back to ardy and buy a chocolate bar from the baker next to the cake stall(for a quest later) . Get to 41 thieving in ardy by stealing cakes. You will need exaclty 46512 xp so we hit 45 after the feud quest. The reason we are doing cakes over silk is because we will need lots of food for multiple quests, and we will make up for the lost gold through blackjacking, one of the best ways to make money in the first few days of dmm. After 41 thieving, grab 1 silk that we got earlier and sell it to the silk trader for 60gp. You can do this by offering 120 gp first. 5/10 easy ardy tasks done.

10. With a good amount of cake, home tele to lumby. Pick up rune mysteries by talking to the duke in lumbridge castle. Then pick up the restless ghost quest and go to the swamps to pick up the ghost speak ammy. Go to the lumbridge graveyard with your ghostspeak on and talk to the ghost in the coffin. Buy an iron axe from bob we will need it later.

11. Now head to the ham hideout. We will be getting the very commonly dropped rusty sword here. You can either obtain this by pickpocketing ham members or killing ham guards. I recommend killing guards for some hp and cb xp.

12. Now we will run to draynor to get 30 agility. The reason we are getting 30 at draynor rather than 20 and then 30 at al-kharid is we don't want to spend a lengthy amount of time in multi. We also will get 20 fishing and 20 cooking here for some quests.

13. Now run to the wizards tower to complete segments of rune mysteries and the restless ghost. Now we are going to walk back to lumbridge to pick up a couple of buckets. Use these on the dairy cows in the lumby cow pin for quests later. Walk to varrock.

14. We are going to get 40 agility at the varrock course. Then claim our 10k at the stronghold. Now, Ideally I'll use a scout to make sure the coast is clear before entering the stronghold, but it's unlikey for a team to try pking this early.

15. Now we are gonna make some purchases wit our 10k. Attempt to buy a few law runes from the GE, as well as some quest items: Oak Longbow, Snape grass, The rest we can conveniently pick up on the way.

16. Now we will buy some runes and an air staff to get 25 magic for varrock teleport, steal a bit of tea for quests(2 or 3), and maybe a bit of extra combat training. Lets also buy 10 pots and a bowl and from the general store and fill it with water for a quest later on. Buy some priest gowns and leather gloved from the cloths shop in varrock. Upgrade your weapon at varrocks weapon shop as well. Doesnt really matter what, I'll probably just buy a mith longsword, we will use this to collect bones for the ectofuntus later. Now run south of varrock to pick some nettles(1 and you need gloves) and 9 redberries. The nettles can be found here and the the redberries are a bit east .

17.  Now we will teleport to lumby to finish the restless ghost(make sure you have some combat runes for Witches house). Then, run to the wizards tower to finish the rune mysteries. Pick up some cheese from the witch Aggies house in draynor. Pick up a fly fishing rod and a few feathers at the port sarim fishing shop. Next we are going to run to rimmington to pick 6 onions from the onion patch. Go west of the crafting guild near the hobgoblins and grab a snape grass. Now walk to falador park and talk to wyson the gardner to purchase 6 woad leaves. Offer him 20 coins and he will give you two woad leaves each time. Now pick up a spade from the House Agent in falador's house for a quest later. Now lets walk to do the Witch's house quest.

18. Now take your woad leaves, onions, and redberries to aggie in draynor to make 3 yellow, red, and blue dyes for ghosts ahoy.

19. Teleport back to Varrock to do Priest in Peril, a prerequisite for DT and a nice quest to have done early. Then we will finish out 50 agility and do the Ghosts Ahoy quest. Now, imo Ghosts Ahoy is worthwhile for a few reasons. It's nice to be able to teleport quickly to port phasmatys for animal magnetism, and an quick teleport to the ecofuntus is great for rebuilding and gaining some prayer levels. We will also be training prayer to 43 here anyways by killing undead cows and chickens and using their bones on the ectofuntus(if you know a better way to get 42 prayer quickly please let me know) Note that you can buy buckets of slime for 2gp ea from the charter members in port phasmatys. From 1 prayer, this takes aprox 560 normal bones, but will be a bit less from previous training. 43 prayer is going to be paramount for quests like underground pass and monkey madness.

20. Teleport to lumbridge where we will walk to alkharid to start the feud quest. This quest will allow us to blackjack for really good money, approx 90k/hr which is great on a fresh server. We will need around 300-400k(ibans staff upgrade is 200k). You are going to be safe blackjacking as long as you remember to bring a teleport. Teleporting is going to make you pretty much unkillable until people get 85 mage, which isn't going to be relevant day 1-2. Here's how you get a maple blackjack, and you should always use it over willow.

21. Now that we have established a decent cash stack, it's time to head back to varrock to get 51 mage and 25 mage for underground pass, giving us the ability to use both ibans blast, snare, and unlock all relevant teleport spells.

22. Now we are going to buy some combat and teleport runes. Have your rusty sword, food, mage gear, and axe, and cash on hand. Now teleport to Camelot, run to catherby, and take the charter to port khazard. Here we will turn in our rusty sword to the tinder merchant and start a trawler minigame. 7/10 easy ardy diaries. Now run south to Yanile and looks at the hunter emporium shop. 8/10 easy ardy diaries.

23. Now we will complete the Fight arena since it's close, super easy to finish, and gives some nice experience.

24. Just west we will start the tree gnome village. Once that is finished we can use the spirit tree to start the grand tree quest in the tree gnome stronghold.

25. After this it's time to head back to ardy. Here we will complete the Plague city and Biohazard quest. This will allow us to finish out our ardy easy diaries by entering the combat training arena, fishing a trout near the combat area, teleporting to the essence mine by talking to the wizard crompty. Now get your ardy cape from Two-Pints

26. Now we will teleport to varrock to prepare for the underground pass(such as buying better food as people should have lobbies/swordfish at this point), and teleport back to ardy to complete it.

27. After this we can teleport back to varrock to prepare for MM, I didn't include picking up quest items for MM because it's really easy to.

So that's everything right now, let me know what you guys think! Hopefully we can get a group together to go through with a revised version of this start.

Very well and thought through plan. Some steps could be skipped or replaced with more efficient options but nonetheless that's a good way to go.

Hey thanks for the feedback! I was scared nobody would read the guide. Pretty understandable though since it's so long. Do you mind telling me some of the starts that seemed inefficient?

I like the concept, first couple of days will be fun as fuck. I have my own route which if it pans out correctly I'll probably be the richest person ingame

Yeah I can't wait to no-life the first few days. Yeah that sounds great. The way I see it there are main ways to go on the first day: Training, Skilling, and Questing. Hard to say which is best since they all have pros and cons.
