Melee, I would say, has the best KO potential of all three combat styles. I protect 94 range and 94 mage because they cost/take the longest to train. If I die with my melee stats, its very fast getting them back.

Don't splash...... It's just stupid IMO. Fire strike hill giants near gnome stronghold and get your prayer up doing that. Once you get 55, go get 67 agility and do my method of killing Salarin. It should be somewhere in general discussion. Plank make is a super good method but you need to take into account the fact of doing the quest and the danger of it. It is a lot safer to do other methods. You probably would make money doing plank make.

If you are going to alch and don't want to stun alch, this is the next best method. Its a lot cheaper than stun alching and only 300k less xp per hour.

I am honestly not sure how much it cost me. I was selling the torstols for 10k each to zulrah killers. You get 3 rannars I believe also from the key which is another 9k. You get another 5-10k more from the other herbs so it helps out the cost of training a huge amount. I think overall I may have spent around 1.5m for 92 mage. I, once again, have never seen a pker there. It is pretty easy to get away. If you are really scared of getting killed, bring chaos runes for fire blast which will hit zero's on salarin. You could probably x log while having your fire staff auto casting fire blast. Only fire strike can damage salarin.

Its pretty safe at barrows. It is very dangerous at the boat unless you have in aid of myrque done.

I went from 84 to 92 mage with this method and didn't see a pker once. Most of the pkers don't go to salarin, they stay near the monkey bars.

I spent around 5-6 hours there. I never got attacked once. No one really pk's there. It is so easy to get away.

Bursting/Chinning is a great way to get HP xp but its pretty dangerous.
