Calling Pets & Deadman Death (RS07 UPDATE)
Take pics replied to Take pics's topic in Drops, Loot & Achievements
As OSRS doesnt require a lot of CPU/GPU power and it's mainly clicking, thus good to play on a touchscreen, I think they're actually thinking about making the full game work on phones. As Android apps are mainly written in Java and the OSRS client is also written in Java, this should be perfectly possible. I don't know what they have on RS3 nowadays- 12 replies

Calling Pets & Deadman Death mod_ronan April 28 2016 Calling Pets & Deadman Death With Monkey Madness II set to come out next Thursday, this week's update is a small one. Nevertheless, we have some great quality of life updates to see you through until the release of the first Old School quest! Call pet button A button which allows you to call your pet to appear next to you has now been added to the equipment interface. If you have a pet out and you can't seem to see them, give this button a click and your pet will appear next to you. Of course, the call pet button won't allow you to summon your pets into areas they would not usually be allowed. Deadman death interface We've updated the Deadman Mode items lost on death interface to be up-to-date and to provide you with information on what you will lose in the various ways you may meet your demise. To accompany the recent update to experience lost on death in Deadman Mode, in the next few weeks we will be adding an interface to appear on respawn to let you know how much experience you lost. Compost any time Have you ever mistakenly planted a seed before you compost a patch? Have you ever lost a crop to an uncomposted patch? Well, never again will you have to live through such torment. It is now possible to use buckets of compost or supercompost on a farming patch in the same way the Fertile Soil spell of the Lunar spellbook works. In other news... Other updates/quality of life Worlds 319, 357, 360 and 378 are no longer seasonal Deadman Mode worlds. More Hellhounds have been spotted heading into the Witchhaven dungeon. Gargoyles, Bloodvelds, Aberrant Spectres, Abyssal demons and Nechryeals a-plenty! You should now find it much easier to fight these creatures in the Slayer tower with friends, as more spawns have been added. All random event music tracks will now be unlocked with any random event which has its own music. Many players voiced concerns that they were left with 1 or 2 tracks to complete their music cape, and could not get the 1 specific random event they required to unlock it. This should make that easier. The random events with unique music tracks are: Drill Demon, Evil Twin, Freaky Forester, Frogs, Maze, Mime, Pinball, Prison Pete, Quizmaster and the Surprise exam. Run energy is now restored at the end of the tutorial. If you already own a boss pet, you will now receive a message to inform you that you would have obtained the pet on that kill – if you did not already own it. Bugfixes The spelling of Monocle has been corrected for player owned house treasure chests. The spelling of Fremennik has been corrected in the Fremennik diary's journal. The King Black Dragon's drops will now appear where it died if you are lucky enough to receive a Prince Black Dragon. Previously, the drops would appear under the pet. The Confusion beasts from A Soul's Bane quest are now immune to venom. A grammar error has been corrected when entering the Legend's guild. Monkey Madness II With only one week until the release of Monkey Madness II, now is the time to prepare yourself for the release of the first ever Old School RuneScape quest! If you haven't yet seen the requirements for the quest, check them out and get training! Old School priority survey We are currently running a priority survey to help us better understand the Old School community as a whole. The results of this survey will help us construct a priority poll which will be coming to a poll booth near you in a few weeks time. Don't miss your chance to help shape the future of Old School. Click here and fill out the priority survey. Discuss this update on our forums. Mods Archie, Ash, Ghost, Ian, Jed, John C, Kieren, Mat K, Maz, Ronan, Weath The Old School Team

This. Get to know the escapes and maybe try them on osrs to get familiar with it, then it's definitely better to do alone.

Jansma4 was my first username I really played on, second were jansma7, then jansma9, jansma111 etc. I would have all of those other accounts in lumbridge at the magic guide, and would claim in total about 500 air and mind runes every 30 minutes. I lost jansma4 because someone wanted to trim my full black armour with gold trim.. I had to go and he asked me for my password so he could put it on my account. The first event I remember was where you'd get full skeletal armour from some basement in Draynor Village.

Regular dmm its like 250/8, sdmm probably about 50/5 but that's a guess because I don't have the overlay on.

I like how you posted "yo" around the forums for postcount, and then put a shitty intro up: Also notice the "all i do is pk" in your intro compared to the "I'm confused I have never bsed anyone? I haven't even pked yet lol" in here. Apart from that I don't know you at all, just an objective view to the matter.

April 14 2016 Bank Placeholders & PID Arrange your bank in the layout of your dreams, and have it stay that way, with bank placeholders! Bank placeholders Organising your bank just got easier. Bank placeholders allow you reserve bank slots for specific items, giving you the ability to create a fixed layout for your bank. Never again will you find yourself scrolling endlessly to find an item - with the help of bank placeholders you can know where everything in your bank is at all times! To create a placeholder, right-click an item in your bank and click the 'Placeholder' option. This will withdraw the items in the bank slot leaving a placeholder in their place. Alternatively, you can enable the 'Always set placeholders' option, found at the bottom of the bank screen, to set a placeholder every time you withdraw every item in a bank slot. If you want to get rid of a placeholder you can right-click it and select the 'Release' option. Alternatively, if you would like to get rid of all of your placeholders at once, you can use the 'Release all placeholders' button found in your bank settings. Some items share placeholders. For example, Amulet of Glory (4) and Amulet of Glory (2) use the same placeholder as each other. This means that if you were to withdraw your Amulet (4), leaving a placeholder, and then use a couple of charges before returning it to your bank, your Amulet (2) would go into the placeholder's slot. For the initial launch, we've done this for a wide variety of kit that has multiple forms, e.g. partially degraded Barrows items, teleportation jewellery, charged/uncharged versions of weapons, etc. We've also done it for potions, so that you could withdraw a 3-dose potion, leaving a placeholder, drink a couple of doses, then return your 1-dose potion to the placeholder slot. This may not actually suit all players, though, so we've written the shared placeholder system in a way that lets us tweak individual items after launch, so when you've had a chance to try the system, you can let us know how you'd like it changed. If you had spent a long time getting placeholder copies of Nightmare Zone imbues or Void equipment, you can now return these items to get most of your reward points or commendation points back. For Nightmare Zone imbues, the pre-existing 'Uncharge' option now returns most of your points, and for Void kit there's a dodgy squire by the bank who'll take it off your hands. We're not giving 100% refunds, since players shouldn't be able to switch back and forth between rewards depending on what they need at the time. It is already possible to sell your graceful and prospector kit back for 80% of the cost. We'd be happy to add similar refund options for Barbarian Assault, Gricoller's Tithe Farm and other similar features in future, so don't discard your spare copies straight away if you no longer need them. PID changes The Old School game engine often has to deal with two players doing something at the same time. This could be dealing damage to a monster, dealing damage to a player, picking up an item, anything at all. When this happens, the game engine needs a way to decide which player's action is processed first. Previously, the game engine would give every player logged into a world a random level of priority every game tick. This made the processing of player's actions entirely random and completely unpredictable. While the system being unpredictable can, in some instances, be an advantage, this also caused a lot of inconsistencies in combat (most noticeably player-vs-player combat). In order to make combat and many other aspects of the game more consistent, instead of randomising the priority each player is given every game tick, priority is now only randomised once every 100 - 150 game ticks (60 - 90 seconds). Within the duel arena, the relative priority of players who are fighting each other will not change throughout the duration of a duel. The biggest benefit to this change is that it gives players in PvP more consistent combat, allowing them to play according to their priority. East Rellekka shortcut A shortcut has been added to the fence found on the eastern side of Rellekka. This shortcut requires 57 Agility to use and is a great way to save some time. Ice gloves for Blast Furnace Wearing ice gloves when at the Blast Furnace will now allow you to pick up bars without cooling them first. This should be a nice, small advantage for you heroes out there! In other news... Other updates/quality of life The ‘Fill’ and ‘Check’ options on the Seed box have been switched to be consistent with the Gem bag and Herb sack. An ‘Uncharge’ option has been added to Black masks and Broodoo shields to deplete the charges instantly. The message received when causing a bird's nest to fall whilst woodcutting is now displayed in red. World 313, 343, 352, 374 and 375 have been reverted to regular worlds from Deadman worlds. Bugfixes A tile of stray blocking in the Blast mine has been removed. The Grand Exchange sets for Bandos, Armadyl and Ancient rune armour are now also free to play items. Wizard Cromperty now knows you have space for his free daily pure essence if you already have a stack of noted pure essence on you. It is now possible to talk to Johanhus Ulsbrecht about One Small Favour if you are in the middle of Death to the Dorgeshuun. Levelling up to 22 hunter now states you can catch young implings rather than adolescent implings. This Friday we will be releasing a developer blog describing changes we will be making to Deadman mode based on the feedback we have received from the community. This blog will discuss changes we want to make this season, as well as many that we would like to make for next season. Also coming this Friday, at 5pm BST we will be hosting a reddit AMA in the /r/IAmA subreddit. Be sure to come along and ask us any questions you have for any member of the team. We'll be answering as many questions as we possibly can. We look forward to seeing you there! Invested 200k in splash runes yesterday, and used them all up. I have my magic xp protected Other than that you could try barrows items, dragon spears, broodoo shields, ancient staves, g mauls

Got to rune defender today, it's a pretty easy escape if your hitpoints and defence levels are decent and you are ready to x-log. I personally take brews, a phoenix necklace and flowers with me. Also make sure that you have noted food in case they catch you at the bank. One guy with barrage hit me today while I was getting ready to get tokens at the animator. I just ran to the thing between the freezes and brewed up untill he hit a 0 and then immediately put the armour down. The reason that I'm pretty much out of food there is that he froze me as I went on the black square before the animator instead of on the animator, so I couldn't put the armour down. This was my own fault because I always put the armour on it from there and it would walk on it.. but that didn't happen when I was frozen. Lesson learned That was my riskiest escape. All the other escapes (5-10) went very easy and were mainly upstairs. At first I wasn't confident in going there at all, but now that I've experienced some it looks like you can't really die there if you know what you're doing. You basically x-log at either the animator, upstairs, or downstairs at the dragon defender room.
